How to structure your Meta Ads campaigns so you don't waste your budget.

Most businesses that try Meta Ads and fail don't have a budget problem. They have a structure problem.

DO YOU NEED HELP?

We audit your campaigns and tell you where your budget is being wasted.

Putting all the money into a single campaign, mixing objectives, using a single audience, and changing things every three days prevents the algorithm from learning. The money is spent without direction, and the conclusion is usually that «Meta Ads doesn't work.».

Meta Ads does work. But, like any precision tool, you have to know how to use it.

01

The campaign structure we use at Flavour Agency

Meta Ads is organized into three levels. Understanding what you control in each is essential to avoid making basic mistakes.

Campaign

Here you define the objective: traffic, conversions, leads, reach, or messages. This level determines how the algorithm will optimize. If you choose traffic when you actually want leads, Meta will bring you clicks, even if none of them convert.

Ad set

Here you define audience, budget, schedules, and locations. The same campaign can have multiple ad sets with different audiences to test which one works best.

Ads

This is where the creatives live: image or video, text, headline, and call to action. It is advisable to include several options to learn which message connects best with each audience.

One objective per campaign, one audience per ad set, and a minimum of two creatives to compare.

02

TOFU, MOFU and BOFU applied to Meta Ads

Trying to sell directly to people who don't know who you are is like stopping a stranger on the street and asking them to sign a contract. Every phase of the funnel needs a different message and campaign.

TOFU

Top of Funnel

Cold audiences that don't know you yet. The goal is to generate awareness and trust with useful or engaging content. Look at the cost per click and engagement.

MOFU

Middle of Funnel

People who have already interacted, visited the website, or watched your videos. Here you can present a more direct value proposition and measure the cost per lead.

BOFU

Bottom of Funnel

People who have shown intent. It is time for direct retargeting and measuring the cost per conversion or sale.

With a limited budget, it doesn't always make sense to keep all three phases active. An efficient combination is to build an audience at TOFU and reserve BOFU to convert those who already know the brand.

03

Audiences that work for local businesses on the Costa del Sol

Segmentation is where money is won or lost. Great creative in front of the wrong audience doesn't work.

Interest-based audiences

They are the most used, although not always the most accurate. They work best when combined with very specific geographic targeting.

Lookalike audiences

They allow you to find people with behaviors similar to your customers, website visitors, or users who already interact with your Instagram.

Retargeting audiences

They tend to be the most efficient: you retarget recent visitors, people who have watched a large part of a video, or followers who haven't contacted you yet.

LOCAL FOCUS

For Costa del Sol businesses, geography comes first: a relevant radius around Marbella and, afterwards, layers of interest or behavior depending on the sector.

04

High-converting creatives

Creativity is one of the biggest performance drivers. An ad that stops the scroll can produce results with a modest budget. One that doesn't engage will still not work even if you increase the investment.

Video, image or carousel

Video usually performs better for brand discovery. Images can be more direct when the user already knows you. Carousels are useful for showcasing products, properties, or transformations.

A simple copy formula

Recognizable problem, concrete solution, proof or result, and a clear call to action. On Meta, the message needs to be understood in seconds.

Specific calls to action

«Request your consultation», «Book now», «Message us on WhatsApp» or «View available properties» state exactly what will happen next.

05

Testing and optimization: improving week by week

Meta Ads is not a campaign that you launch and forget. It is a system that progressively improves if it is optimized with judgment and at the appropriate frequency.

Compare one variable at a time

Run at least two ads with a single difference: the same text with a different image, or the same image with different text. With enough data, keep the winner and create a new variant.

Do not interrupt the learning

Changing or stopping a campaign too early prevents evaluating its true performance. Before starting from scratch, review the creative, the audience, and the chosen objective.

A monthly cycle

Review audiences, cost per result, click-through rate, and creative fatigue. Launch changes, gather new data, and improve again. The advantage comes incrementally.

Brands that understand Meta Ads as a system of continuous improvement build an efficiency that is hard to match.
